Bluebelle Event Center Wedding | Lizzie + Michael

Lizzie and Michael’s Bluebelle Event Center wedding in Bemidji was such an easy, wonderful day! This was my first time shooting at Bluebelle Event Center, and it was a beautiful venue. I loved the outdoor ceremony nestled in the woods and the beautiful bridal suite. It also has tons of great locations to shoot portraits!

I drove up to Bemidji on the evening before the wedding day and stayed at a hotel so I could be fresh and ready for the wedding the next morning. I was also fortunate enough to stay at the hotel after the wedding. It felt like a mini vacation for me!

Lizzie and Michael’s wedding day was cloudy and dreary, but they didn’t let that dampen their mood. The rain held out until after the ceremony finished, just in time for portraits of the couple. Lizzie was the biggest trooper and said the rain didn’t bother her. She wanted to get gorgeous outdoor photos of her and Michael rain or shine! So, we grabbed a clear umbrella and headed outside. After a few clicks of the shutter, we ditched the umbrella and embraced the elements. These are my favorite kinds of clients – ones that enjoy their wedding day no matter what curveballs are thrown at them!

The couple also has a daughter who got to be their flower girl on their wedding day! I loved how they incorporated her throughout the day, but also allowed themselves to celebrate their love as a couple.

Lizzie and Michael were a dream to work since day one. They are sweet, funny, and they put complete trust in me. By the end of their wedding, I felt like we were friends rather than client and vendor. After my coverage ended, I put away the camera and danced it out on the dance floor with them.
