Rachel was a bridesmaid in a wedding I photographed in 2020. She told me at that time that when she gets married, I’ll be her photographer. At the time she didn’t even have a boyfriend! Just weeks following that wedding she met Andrew, the love of her life! I captured their proposal and engagement session. So, naturally, capturing the wedding was next in line.
Sadly, when Rachel first inquired, I, unfortunately, declined. They were having a New Year’s Eve wedding, and I don’t shoot on that date because I spend it with my family. However, she told me she only wanted me as her wedding photographer, and I truly wanted to be there so bad. So, we came to an agreement that I’d shoot her wedding until the ceremony and after that time my second shooter would lead the rest of the day. I’m so happy it worked out for both of us. Her wedding was the best way to end 2022!
There was a lot of tears and emotion that filled the wedding day, because Rachel’s mother passed just weeks before her wedding. Although her mom was not there physically, we definitely all felt her presence in spirit. We know she was watching and celebrating from heaven.
Rachel and Andrew are super chill and laid back, and a New Year’s Eve wedding was a fitting party to celebrate their love. They were truly up for anything I asked, including stepping outside in the freezing cold for photos! I love working with couples that have complete trust in me. Not only does it make me enjoy the day more, but it also results in the best images!
Rachel, thank you again for letting me be a part of your beautiful day and being flexible to make it work! Congratulations to these beautiful newlyweds!
